 The North Augusta and Aiken Chambers of Commerce in conjunction with the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce sponsor an annual trip to the Statehouse for county leaders. The date for this year's trip is March 5.
The two Chambers take around fifty local leaders. The morning session includes an update on the SC Chamber's Competitive Agenda in the General Assembly by the Chamber's Legislative Liaisons. This is followed by an update from the local delegation's leaders on their perspective.
Following lunch, the group will be taken to both the House and Senate Chambers for recognition. It also offers time to have one on one meetings with our representatives about specific business problems where legislative help is needed.
The trip allows a time for leaders from both communities to get to know each other better and explore ways to better our area.
