The North Augusta Chamber is an economic development engine. We are an advocate for commerce and industry, as we facilitate interactions among business, government, education, labor, and the greater community. We actively create opportunities for business to advance within local and global economies. As the voice of business in the North Augusta area, our role is to communicate the views of the business community to our elected officials. Priorities are identified and recommended to our Board of Directors for issues that affect our economy, business environment and quality of life.

The North Augusta Chamber of Commerce was one of the driving forces behind a referendum that was approved in 2013 regarding the sale of alcohol beverages on and off premises on Sundays.

PROJECT JACKSON

Project Jackson

The North Augusta Chamber supported the extension (30 more years) of the North Augusta Tax Increment Financing plan, or TIF, which equals approximately $16.5 million in deferred property tax revenue of 460 acres. The deferred funds go towards the construction of proposed multi-sports stadium, conference center and parking structures on North Augusta’s riverfront.

For more than 17 years, the North Augusta Chamber has advocated for the rehabilitation of the New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam structure to ensure and safeguard our community’s future dependency on the deteriorating pool.

FT. GORDON CYBER COMMAND

Ft. Gordon Cyber Command

The North Augusta Chamber continues its support of the relocation of the Army Cyber Command’s (ARCYBER) Headquarters to Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA. A historic consolidation and coordination of Army cyber and network operations under one roof, the move supports the relocation of more than 21,000 soldiers and civilians to the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA).
